Welcome to the WWJD PROJECT
If you’re here, you already feel it.
The constant checking.
The endless scrolling.
The time that somehow disappears.
This isn’t just about phones — it’s about control.
“And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away.” — Matthew 5:30
That verse isn’t about literally cutting off your hand. It’s about removing what’s pulling you away from the life you’re meant to live.
For many of us today… that “thing” is our phone.
WHY THIS GUIDE IS DIFFERENT
Let’s be real.
You’ve probably seen the YouTube videos:
“I replaced my phone with a smartwatch for 30 days…”
“I deleted all social media…”
“I went off-grid…”
And most of them fail.
Why?
Because those people are often:
Content creators
Living in big cities
Not balancing a normal 9–5 life
Still dependent on tech behind the scenes
That’s not real life for most people.
WHO THIS IS FOR
This guide is for real people.
You have an iPhone
You have an Apple Watch (ideally with cellular/data)
You have responsibilities — work, family, life
I’m not a productivity guru or influencer.
I’m a teacher with a 9–5, dealing with the same distractions you are.
This is about building something that actually works in the real world.
THE GOAL
We’re not trying to become monks.
We’re trying to:
Take back control of our time
Stop the cycle of uninstalling → reinstalling toxic apps
Be more present with friends and family
Focus better
Live with intention
This is about freedom, not restriction.
BEFORE YOU START (IMPORTANT)
Before you read another word…
👇 Go to the comments and answer this:
What do you want to accomplish?
Be specific. Examples:
“Reduce my screen time to under 2 hours a day”
“Stop re-downloading Instagram/TikTok”
“Be more present with my family”
“Stop checking my phone every 5 minutes”
“Get better sleep”
Write it down publicly.
Because clarity creates commitment.
THE CORE IDEA (WHAT MAKES THIS WORK)
We’re not just “quitting phones.”
We’re replacing dependency with a smarter system.
Your Apple Watch becomes your bridge:
Stay reachable
Handle essentials (calls, texts, directions, music)
Remove the temptation of endless apps
Your iPhone becomes a tool — not a trap.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THIS GUIDE
Over the next posts, I’ll walk you through:
How to set up your iPhone to reduce temptation
How to use your Apple Watch as your primary daily device
How to avoid falling back into old habits
How to stay disciplined without feeling restricted
How to build a lifestyle that sticks
No extremes.
No unrealistic challenges.
No fake “dopamine detox” hype.
Just something that works.
FINAL THOUGHT
If something is pulling you away from your purpose, your peace, and your people…
It might be time to cut it off.
Not completely.
But intentionally.
Welcome to the WWJD PROJECT.
Let’s take your time back.
